Wednesday Writing Opportunity (Two Days Late!)
April 4, 2008 by andreamcmann
No, I didn’t lose track of my days! I’ve been having some computer problems, but I’ve finally managed to get online today and I think I’ve straightened things out. But enough about me… Here’s this week’s writing opportunity:
“get born celebrates the whole messy process of motherhood by giving real women in the real trenches of
motherhood a chance to speak, to write, to make their voices heard.
get born provides a non-judgmental forum for expression free from fear or pretense because we believe
sharing our stories in this sort of environment is the best soil in which to grow as mothers and women. Our
writers and readers are women are not afraid of either telling or hearing the truth, and respect other women’s
right to hear and tell the same.”
Click here to find out what get born is (and isn’t). And here for the writer’s guidelines. The guidelines don’t say anything about pay, so I’m guessing they don’t pay. Still, this magazine looks interesting, and it might make a nice clip.
For additional writing opportunities, look at my Writing Opportunities page, which I will be adding to weekly.

get born calls itself the “uncensored voice of motherhood.” This magazine is dedicated to getting beyond the flowery, mushing musings of motherhood, and getting down to the nitty-gritty of real life mothering. Here’s what their website says:
